The master plan for the new city of Changxing Dao provides a strong sense of community for nearly 1.2M future residents.  Located near Dalian, on the Bohai Sea, this new community provides housing, recreation, culture, education, and employment opportunities for all.  Awarded the 2013 International Society of City and Regional Planners Award of Excellence, the Changxing Dao master plan is an example of higher quality residential communities in China.

Made up of five interconnected islands, the master plan encompasses nearly 502 square kilometers.  Because of its unique location on the Bohai City, the development focuses on port industries, petrochemical industries, and high-tech research.  As the area transitions from a its rural, aquaculture history to a modern port city, the master plan successfully mitigates the competing needs of residential communities and industrial employment.
